DISCOVER THE LATEST ADDITION TO THE DESSO AIRMASTER® COLLECTION!

[vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]Today, most people spend 90% of their time indoors. This makes it imperative that we create healthy interiors.   DESSO AirMaster Earth and Tones offer patented technology which is proven to be 8 times more effective in capturing and retaining fine dust than smooth flooring solutions (PM10) and 4 times more effective than standard carpet solutions (PM10).   AirMaster Earth is available in seven distinctive colour options, including five neutral shades and two vibrant accent colours. Each tile features a statement black yarn threaded into the pattern resulting in dramatic and tactile flooring designs.  AirMaster Tones is available in 12 colours, including six neutrals, ranging from dark to light, and six soft pastel accent colours, including soft pink/red, blue and green shades. The result is a delicate colour palette not previously available in the AirMaster family.   AirMaster Earth & Tones carpet tiles can be combined to allow designers to create zoning and routing in open plan spaces, or to provide dramatic statement design features and centre-pieces in meeting rooms and reception areas.   All DESSO AirMaster collections contain ECONYL® yarn, but AirMaster Earth and Tones are the first collections in the AirMaster range where all colours are made from 100% ECONYL yarn, a regenerated nylon made from recovered waste materials such as carpet yarn from Tarkett’s Refinity® recycling facility. Both collections are delivered with EcoBase™ backing, which contains at least 75% positively defined recycled content, in accordance with Cradle to Cradle® principles.   In addition, the AirMaster Earth and Tones carpet tiles also feature Colback® Gold, a primary backing with up to a 95%[1] decrease in antimony content, designed to help preserve finite antimony reserves and promote safer tile recycling. Can you tell us more about this?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_column_text]The user experience is a set of activating senses and perceptions regarding the environment. Now we are at a turning point, given the requests for more eco-friendly buildings that integrate technology and life cycle assessment schemes. Also the organisation in office buildings is changing, we are evolving from hierarchical schemes to more flexible ones, given the job changes and the shift to working remote.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/6"][vc_icon type="openiconic" icon_openiconic="vc-oi vc-oi-help" color="orange" background_style="rounded" align="right"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/6"][vc_column_text]Are you concerned about environmental and social sustainability in your buildings? If so, what role does green building play into your work?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_column_text]We are very much concerned regarding environmental and social sustainability. We apply this schemes in designing the concept of the building. Good sustainable design also encourages others to build the same way, it becomes a trend in nowadays society. People are more aware of their impact to the environment. The building service equipments have to be of high equality in order to reduce costs of living and working, the position of the building and its relationship with the sun can reduce also utility costs. You have to understand the site and what advantages it brings into your design for a good planning.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/6"][vc_icon type="openiconic" icon_openiconic="vc-oi vc-oi-help" color="orange" background_style="rounded" align="right"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/6"][vc_column_text]What do you feel is the greatest challenge when it comes to designing for environmental sustainability?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_column_text]The biggest challenge is the cost for implementing high quality equipments or architectural systems like sunshades, that reduce this costs. We started a lot of projects aiming for BREEAM or LEED certificates and when the client discovered the costs, they prefer to go with a more conservative building. The talent of the architect should be to try and balance the cost and the need for green architecture.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_raw_html]JTNDc3R5bGUlM0UlMEEucG9zdC5zdHlsZS0yJTIwaGVhZGVyJTJDJTIwYm9keSUyMCUzRSUyMGRpdi5zaXRlLXdyYXBwZXIlMjAlM0UlMjBzZWN0aW9uJTIwJTNFJTIwZGl2JTIwJTNFJTIwZGl2JTIwJTNFJTIwZGl2JTIwJTNFJTIwcCUyMCU3QmRpc3BsYXklM0ElMjBub25lJTNCJTIwdmlzaWJpbGl0eSUzQSUyMGhpZGRlbiUzQiU3RCUwQSUzQyUyRnN0eWxlJTNFJTBB[/vc_raw_html][/vc_column][/vc_row]

“Excellent” BREEAM certification for Aviatorilor 8 office building!

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Breeam Certification is a priority for the top suppliers, because they are now more focused on strengthening their brand and a part of this work is to develop sustainable solutions for the good of nature and the people who desire to work in eco-friendly buildings. Clients choose BREEAM certification because it helps them manage and mitigate risk through demonstrating sustainability performance during planning, design, construction, operation or refurbishment, helping to lower running costs and maximize returns through market value. One of our latest projects, Aviatorilor 8, a visionary project with a total leasable area of over 7,700 sqm that consists of an avant-garde office building, a little square open to the public and the recently restored Oromolu Villa, has achieved an “Excellent” level of certification under BREEAM International 2013 rating scheme. Congratulations to Optim PM which delivered this impressive project for New Europe Property Investment for achieving the certification! The assessment process started early on, during the Concept Design stage, and the specialists of Optim PM provided the developer with ongoing support and consultancy through all the stages of the development. One of the stages was the raised access floor system with Knauf DB Green 30 panels that in addition to meet the technical features of the project had to face many requests such as tests, declarations and certificates attesting the sustainability criteria in the relation to BREEM credits of the project.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
