In August, let’s go to Rio and celebrate 40 years of Olympics with Gerflor!

Gerflor, through IHF and FIVB agreements will supply sport courts for Handball and Volleyball tournaments during the next Olympic Games in Rio in 2016

But did you know that Gerflor has been sports flooring supplier to each edition of the games since 1976?

40 years of Olympics!

The story started in Montreal (Canada) and ever since, Gerflor floorings were to be seen during each Olympic Games on various competitions.

Mostly during handball and volleyball competitions but even sometimes on badminton courts and table tennis competitions.

In 2016 Gerflor is delivering 15000 sqm of Taraflex Sport M Evolution to equip :

• 7 volley ball courts
• 6 handball courts

… and training facilities

Since several weeks Gerflor’s team of professionals dedicated to the preparation of the sports courts is on the go. They have prepared the sports surfaces in the Technocentre and then the indoor sports floors have been shipped to Rio. In April the sports surfaces were installed temporarily to host some tests and rehearsals.
